Celebrating at Every Age: Our Heartfelt Day at the Acoya Troon Holiday Market

This past weekend, The Cecilia Berkley Holistic Spa had the pleasure of joining the Acoya Troon holiday market as vendors—and it turned out to be so much more than an event. Surrounded by the beautiful holiday décor, cheerful music, and the sweetest residents, we were lovingly reminded of something important: the spirit of celebration has no age limit.

Acoya Troon, a senior living community brimming with warmth and personality, created a space that felt like a true holiday village—full of laughter, curiosity, connection, and stories that could fill entire bookshelves. While we arrived prepared to contribute our services and products, we left feeling like we had received a gift ourselves. As we spoke with residents, families, and staff, one theme kept resurfacing: self-care is not reserved for the young, the stressed, or the busy. It is for everyone — at every age and every stage. Whether it’s a soothing facial, a relaxing spa service, or a quiet moment of nourishment, pouring into ourselves is a practice we’re never too old to embrace. During the holidays, we all feel the rush—lists to make, gifts to buy, gatherings to prepare for.

Stress can quietly weave itself into even the most joyful traditions. But at Acoya Troon, we found the sweetest reminder that slowing down, pampering ourselves, and showing up for our own well-being is a timeless act of love. Our presence at the market wasn’t just about showcasing what we offer—it was about contributing to this reminder. We were honored to bring a bit of softness and care into a season that can so easily become overwhelming. Watching residents light up while exploring skincare options or chatting about spa rituals reminded us that caring for oneself is a celebration all its own. Self-care does not retire. Self-love does not age. Joy does not expire. And neither should our commitment to nourishing ourselves, especially during the busy holiday season. We left Acoya Troon inspired, grateful, and deeply moved by the beautiful community we met. Here’s to continuing the celebration—of the season, of each other, and of ourselves—today and always.
